    Getting Started
    Whether you are organising invitations for a grand affair or something relaxed and simple your initial decision is an important one. The invitation is usually one of the first items to go out and often gives your guests a sneak peak into the theme and overall feel of your special event. 

    The first step is to decide on the theme for your occasion. Inspiration for your theme can come from a favourite colour, flower, place, season or even a film. Your chosen venue may also play a part in your choice of theme. A beach location may suggest a seaside theme in aqua blue and white or even something tropical showcasing frangipani flowers with a citrus twist. We have several themes in store that may help with the decision process. 

    After your have decided on your theme, you need to decide on a size and shape and the accompanying elements to your invitations. You may like to take into account the postage costs when choosing the size and shape of your invitations. Non-standard sizes may cost more to post than standard DL sizes.

    Additional elements you may like to consider when ordering your invitations may include announcement cards, save the date cards, RSVP cards, order of service folders, wishing well cards, gift registry cards, map cards, menu's, place cards, tags and lastly, thank you cards.

    Finally, you will need to choose a design and layout. This can sometimes be the most difficult. With so many possible variations the key is to keep it simple. Often the simplest of designs can be the most elegant and of course the most cost effective. However, the choice is yours. You can layer different papers, create wraps and pockets, add decorative elements such as ribbon, buckles, studs / brads and rhinestones.
